GateGuru, Airport Info & Flight Status App Reviews

Im a frequent traveler and I fly all over the United States, sometimes internationally too. Point is, I dont travel one route every week like many frequent fliers do so I dont have all of the airport eateries memorized. Theres no need with this app! Im also a VERY healthy eater and this app makes planning a meal while traveling SO easy. Thank you!

This app was so much better when it found you and told you what was around you. Its a pain now. Dont bother.

Im using this app for a ten flight series through South East Asia. Its no more than a list of the flights. Maybe its better in the US? Extremely basic.

this was a nice app that was useful but now appears to have lost its way. You cannot use your old user ID to post reviews. Also, there is no way to update airports or submit issues. For example, when traveling through JFK terminal 2 last week, I found the app to be woefully out of date and incorrect yet I could not tell the developer via the app. GateGuru is now part of the TripAdvisor corporate umbrella so I would hope that this would get fixed. Time to make this a great app once again. Let’s get with it GateGuru folks!

This app used to better and much more reliable. It is usual now that the gate information becomes available after the flight takes off. No longer using the app.

I use this app all the time, but am recently disappointed because I get error messages every time I open it. My trips are not linking, and I cannot get trip information regarding gates, etc., even when I input the trip info myself. Please add fixes and updates to restaurants!!!!

Near impossible to submit corrections to Amenity listings. Some are no longer at location or have closed. Some are double listed by incorrect name or gate proximity. One no longer is immediately presented the closest airport(s)--you are required to search for it Used to be a good app...no linger

This app is amazing. I use it for all the reasons and love it.

I used to rely on this app to move around airports but now it is only useful to indicate where the food is. It used to show flights and gates but does not anymore. I only use it to seek out restaurants and bars.

Used to be really good, but they havent updated in a while. Info can be inaccurate

Thats all I get. When it did work I was never able to check into my home airport.

iPhone 6s I get notifications from GateGuru, but when I switch to the app, I just get a red banner that says, "Oops, something went wrong. Try again." I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but no joy. It shows that I am linked to Tripit. I tried to unlink and link again, but no joy. So, Gate Guru does generate notifications, but the app itself simply doesnt function.

When I can get it to work it is awesome. I still struggle with finding the "hidden" path to add new flight plans and it still occasionally crashes - but much better than a year ago when it stopped working altogether for several months. The amenities are helpful, also the reminders work well. I have not found anything better.

I downloaded the app based on the good reviews. But when I started using it, it kept deleting my trip information. I definitely dont want to waste time putting that information in more than once.

Great for quickly finding coffee, choice of restaurants.

Use to be good, but no longer accurate. Would say something would be at a certain terminal gate and it would not be there. Needs to be updated

Dont count on GateGuru being of any use at Toronto Pearson airport. Our gate isnt even on the site. In fact NONE of the gates in this wing of Terminal 1 show up!

Some amenity data is outdated. Good for a general idea of what is in a terminal but not always accurate. Most reviews are old or not many posted.
