GateGuru, Airport Info & Flight Status App Reviews

This app far exceeds the apps of airlines and airports. Not only do I use this app for my travels, I also use this app for my friends flights. This is a must have app for any airline traveler.

Could not sync with Tripit, had wrong time for a flight, and support was worthless.

There is very little info here that is useful. It is not interactive at all. Yes it lists restaurants, but so does Yelp. The map is static.

I added a flight in and a 500 error. Tried again with another flight and got a 400 error. Useless.

The good: The app works off-line, so you can use it at 39,000 feet when youre wondering where to eat between flights. The bad: The app is very infrequently updated.

Only thing I didnt like was that all of my favorited airports just show up as a star so I have to open it to see which one it is.

Very Helpful! Saved us a lot of walking back-and-forth with heavy carry-ons this week. Have used it in several airports. Great app.

DFW is so out of date ....consistently out of date information in many airports.

Dont show gates of arrival or departure information ahead of time.

I hate when apps ask for reviews but I love this app

Frequent errors (failures) trying to add flights to a trip.

I used to like this app. I was a great tool for travelers. When Tripadvisor took over, I cheered because I love the TA app! However, Gate Guru is now a joke. They dont update the restaurants and there is no way to add one. EWR terminal C changed over all the restaurants. However, most of the old ones are still there and many of the new ones are missing. How hard is it to go to the airport website and update the content. I recommended that to them 4 months ago - no response, no change. Also, most places only have 1-2 reviews. Bottom line: you cant count on this app for accuracy or ratings. Dont get it until TA folds this into their regular app or fixes the problems. Yelp is better!

Its been very useful in keeping me organized, especially when traveling across time zones. I do find it difficult to know what some of the airport abbreviations represent if Ive never seen them before. A lexicon of some sort would be helpful.

It used to be a great app. Now it keeps giving me an error when I try to update flights! Useless!

Half the restaurants arent in the airports noted:( pretty sad!

Ive been saved from having to settle for whatever lousy food choices were close with this app. A quick check of the airside, and I know where the 5-star restaurants are... usually just a few yards beyond where I would have settled for mediocre. Excellent app!

App was recently updated- now it is very frustrating to use - in the past I used to put everything about my trip in and always found it very helpful- now, I cannot even add my car rental info - do not like - wish I could reinstall the old version
